Dusty roses, chocolate truffle, notes of vanilla, cola, white pepper and tobacco on the nose. 75/25 cab sauv/cab franc. On the palette, this wine is barely getting into its peak at this point (give it 2-5 more years for optimal experience); cola and cherry notes come on strong with tobacco lingering into a slow fade with notes of cranberry, red plum, and fig. Yum!!

Aug 6th, 2020Damn fine wine! Still grippy and tannic, only slightest tinge of oxidation so far. Big tobacco, cherry, vanilla and tar notes. Could easily go a few more years. Fantastic!!!

Feb 23rd, 2019Amazing to taste this after about 7 years in the cellar... it tastes young still! Let this prove that WA cab, at least this one, can easily age 10+ years (i am going to save my other bottle another 4-5 years). Intense red stone fruit and mouth gripping tannins, tobacco and cola notes dominate tail end of the sip. Pleasant minerality and earthiness on the nose. Yum!!
