I know this wine is actually excellent, but unfortunately my bottle has a good amount of very distracting VOC. It is prominent on the nose and the palette. If you like a wine overpowered by barnyard and astringent character, great, this one’s for you. BUT NOTE, I KNOW this is just a flawed bottle. The vintage and the wine is otherwise solid. :(

Somewhat more restrained than the 2011, but more like that than the 2010. This has more cab sauv than either of those vintages, and it has perhaps the lightest mouth feel of the three but the most tannin. It is bright and fruity, stone fruit centered, again with a wonderful coco powder mouth feel. Yum!!

Interestingly, this is bigger than 2010 (has less cab and more merlot). This one is not quite as bright, with thicker tannins, more brooding fruit (more pruney), and a heavier mouth feel. Fantastic!!

We had this at our wedding at JM. It’s bossy and awesome.

The crisp black fruits are etched with ripe tannins, and aging in 75% new French oak adds chocolate and espresso tones. A classic Bordeaux blend showing the elegant flavors, I picked it because it looked like it had similar properties of The Dissidents by Mark Ryan. I was right! I add it as another favorite, you won't be disappointed with this 2012 Margaret's Vineyard Estate Red.
