Very interesting, this vintage is so different than the 2010. It is herbaceous, with notes of sage and even a faint spearmint note. Red fruit (pomegranate, raspberry, strawberry, and maybe even lychee), a little tobacco, and dried meat (prosciutto). Very interesting and delicious!

Wow! I honestly didn’t expect this to be so good (2010 being such a cool year), but it is fantastic! Big red stone fruit and pepper on the nose, hints of bacon fat, cigar box, and white pepper on initial palette. Medium bodied, medium tannins. Excellent finish. Yum!

Fantastic bacon fat, spice, and luscious red fruit that just goes on and on. Smokey red plum is the last to fade. Delicious!

My last bottle of the first wine that made me cry... amazingly, it is still tight after 5 years in the cellar. Powerful fruit on the nose and the palette, hints of pencil lead, w/ lush mouthfeel and subtle bacon fat on the initial palette.

Rustic, earthy leather and spicy notes. When this wine was young, it had a solid, fruity core. Now that fruit has dissipated and now just clings to the edge, faintly. Classic French character, and definitely in its peak (or possibly just passing it)
