A med/med+ ruby-purple core. The nose is filled with mixed red to dark red fruits of cherry, blackberry, and currants. Subtle notes of spice come from the 70% stem inclusion and the syrah fruit. The highlight of the bouquet are these lifted and very aromatic floral tones that bring to mind violets and lilac florals, it adds an elegance and extra boost of complexity and draws the nose back a lot to get another whiff. On the palate, the wine is fresh, with excellent depth and length of flavors that sails into a sneaky, long, persistent and fresh finish. The acidity is more med+ than med, as are the fine, youthfully perceptible tannin. The body also feels perfectly in-between medium and med+. Delicious, complex, and a long, pretty finish, whats not to like? 92 now with potential up to 93 with a little more bottle age!
