Really excited to see this Greek variety made by a great Australian producer and to find it on a wine list. Hats off to the winemaker for a crisp, lifted and refreshing wine and to Catalina for being bold enough to put it on a wine list

Very interesting try from Jim Barry! Nice aroma and nose with lemon and minerality!!! But tha acidity and mostly the flavors is a little bit smooth and not to concentrated like Santorini! I think this is because the rare volcanic soil of Santorini!

High acid but has it reached Santorini tongue slicing levels yet? Not quite. Great citrus and a gracefully round finish

Despite having quite a pleasant flavour profile it's not the type of wine that I'd get excited by but none-the-less quite serviceable and inoffensive that's for sure. I found the nose to be quite neutral and lacked a little aroma intensity. Served at room temperature it reminded me a little of Clare Valley Riesling with that instant key lime / sorbet character. White grapefruit, rosewater, coconut water, tangerine, underripe pear on the nose. Initially I thought there was a waft of jasmine / white floral but that's certainly disappeared fairly abruptly. It had a little of a freshly cut green herbs note but definitely wasn't definitive enough to pinpoint. The palate I found to follow the white grapefruit profile with a tangy lemon finish. Some pretty serious acid behind it, pretty crunchy at times but also fairly mouth watering on the whole.

Another brilliant wine from Barry. Native greek vines brought to Australia and cultivated for years. Not yet available, and very small yield. Refreshing crisp & mineral. Loved it!
