Apr 6th, 2018Fresh, crushed, wild, preserved strawberries in a not too powerful yet delicate typical nose, plus some candy and a dash of cinnamon and cloves. Bright, mouth watering acidity on approach. Rich natural grape juice mid palate due to being unrefined. A funky finish, Burgundy style, with elements of sea salt and crushed black pepper. A very satisfying Pinot.

Pretty pale pink ruby colour , wide pink rim . Quite aromatic with strawberry , raspberry jam , red cherry and some earthy , herbal touches too. On the palate more of the slightly earthy red cherry , raspberry notes though there is a slight bitterness on the finish , that distracts slightly from the rest of the wine. There is refreshing acidity , light tannins and balanced alcohol to complement the freshness of fruit on the palate . Quite simple , earthy tinged finish . This should be drunk young , preferably over the next 3-4 years
