Jezreel
Petillant Natural Dabiki White Blend
my fourth vintage of jezreel pet nat.
I'm a huge follower.
i tasted this 2019 on Israel's biggest wine exhibition at January 2020 before it all went berserk.
didn't manage to fetch a bottle when i was looking for it afterwards... it sold out.
but vacationing in Eilat for winter βοΈ we found one when take away-ing some gluten from highly regarded local patisserie.
made from dabiki indigenous white π.
11.5% abv
apple, pear, lemon pie and π― taste and texture. and some green funk.
my wife reckoned it was π cider when she smelled it.
paired lovely with diy simple breakfast at the hotel (boiled π₯, tuna, simple 'israeli' salad and simple cheeses)
excellent vfm (59 nis as Eilat is vat free)

Israeli pet Nat with dabuki, an indigenous grape in the blend.
Had the 2016 vintage a while ago. Progress is here, this is 2017.
2018 was released but my wine shop still lives in the past...

Strong yellow with tiny tiny bubbles π
Started lemon-ish but as it got warmer it was more stinky cheese factory with a horse stable next door π
Medium body.
High acidity.
Tiny Bubbles attack then funkness with lemon and added grapefruit bitterness π
Light and pleasant π― with creaminess lingering.
A very pleasant one!
Made better impression on guests than yesterday's posh old vintage sparkling rose...
Excellent vfm (69 nis).
Better then 2016 vintage. Need to check 2018 now.
paired lovely with bread, butter and stinky cheese plate.
And some hummus, tahini , tomato salsa and jahnun. Great with bold food...

My first Pet Nat. Excited.
Almost greenish transparent yellow.
Mostly old Camembert on the nose. Cheesy and acidic and lightly but throughly bubbly with a hint of citrus.
Medium finish. Very interesting and pleasant.

Pet- nat (Petillant Natural)
Dabiki vintage 2016 . A sparkling natural wine made from a local Israeli grape. Super aromatik. Notes of blue cheese pear and green appel. Very fresh crisp and fun white wine
