Candied fruit and violet in the nose.

Light bodied, cherry fruit and bramble, Greek oregano, lemon zest, pomegranate seed, light acidity and gritty light tannins.

A very pleasant summertime red - especially at the price point.

A decent sipping wine. Not too heavy or overpowering. We tried the 2023 vintage. It was paired with a Buffalo Chicken & Cheese Arancini. It was a decent pairing for the fully body tasting food course.

Exactly what I was looking for- delicious, uncomplicated, weeknight sipper. Medium body, cherry from the Pinot and raspberry with icing sugar from the Gamay. Opens super nicely after an hour. Château Thébaud, Nantes, Loire
