Jen Pfeiffer Rock It Like A Redhead The Diamond Durif
This is a very nice rendition of the Durif varietal, or “Petit Sirah” as it is ambiguously referred to in the US. It is medium bodied, smooth without being jammy. The flavors are dusty red currant and a splash of blueberry, with a lingering raspberry finish..

May 14th, 2018Look: very dark red with very little to almost no light passing through. No legs forming and if anything, it’s reminiscent of a very thin liquid falling down the side of the the glass, unable to cling.
smell: some plums, a lot of chocolate, some tabacco and oak. Some dark fruits and herbs in the background. Very thin and Uncomplex in general.
Taste: chocolates, oak, smooth tannins and very short aftertaste with a little fruit coming through at the end. Some tannic bite at the end.
Very boring and thin in general

Opaque black plum red on the eye. The aromas surge out of the glass before you even put it up to your nose. Creamy aromas of blackcurrant, dark chocolate, plum juice and wood. I could whiff this one all night. On the palate it's full bodied, intense and as Mr. Spittoon put it - 'it's got balls'. Long smooth finish which is full of warmth and mouth puckering goodness. Thick and rich baby. Definitely a keeper!
