Love the fact Virginia kills the Petit Verdot and Tannat scene. More accessible style of Petit Verdot here; less aggressive tannins. Maybe blended with Merlot... not quite sure. While visiting the vineyard, I didn’t get a chance to ask during the tasting. Nose is covered in black cherry sauce, blackberry jam, lilac, sage, campfire, loamy soil, hazelnut, and vanilla. Great tasting and even greater company.
