Cuvée Gastronomie Vin de Savoie Abymes Jacquère

Rare grape. Good minerality

A bit austere; nose isn't too forthcoming with what the palate offers. Pleasant nuttiness, almond skin, faint underripe pear and apple.

Found this little gem at Harvest Market in Fort Bragg of all places. Smells like very stinky cheese right off the bat but blows off quickly. Smooth and crisp on the plate with a slightly smoky/flinty quality. I like.

100% Jacquere. Crisp, clean, nice acid. Simple but pleasant with nice minerality.

Lemon yellow with green. Lemonade, chalk. Honey suckle. Peach. Flint. Gentle acidity. A bit rounded, but not so rich. Slightly stimulating deep area of my throat. Later on feel fresh and acidity. Light. 11.5% alcohol. Strange menthol flavor.

White nose: lemon floor wax spice

Palate : oily, intense fruit. Mineral. Good balance.

Long.

Lovely dry white. Very light on the nose, pear and orange peel on the palate, then quickly moves to a flinty lemon finish.
