Cuvée Gastronomie Vin de Savoie Abymes Jacquère

A bit austere; nose isn't too forthcoming with what the palate offers. Pleasant nuttiness, almond skin, faint underripe pear and apple.

Found this little gem at Harvest Market in Fort Bragg of all places. Smells like very stinky cheese right off the bat but blows off quickly. Smooth and crisp on the plate with a slightly smoky/flinty quality. I like.

100% Jacquere. Crisp, clean, nice acid. Simple but pleasant with nice minerality.

Light. 11.5% alcohol. Strange menthol flavor.

White nose: lemon floor wax spice

Palate : oily, intense fruit. Mineral. Good balance.

Long.

Lovely dry white. Very light on the nose, pear and orange peel on the palate, then quickly moves to a flinty lemon finish.

Love this New to me.

White peach, grapefruit, Meyer lemon, and floral notes; light and acidic yet refreshing; Mark rec from BG, $12.

First taste: crisp apple cider. Opens up as it warms slightly to be rich and balanced. Nice with cheese and crackers.

Rich. Buttery. A bit harsh with the richness, but unique with the finish. Nice tanin balance.
