Les Clos Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay

Lime and citrus notes with saline notes. Inspired by a recent note @Ira Schwartz about a delicious Chablis he had. Oak has been thoroughly absorbed. I haven’t had many Chablis from Les Clos but lived up to its exalted status. See previous Delectable note. Great with fresh Pacific Oysters.

Pale to mid Yellow. Ripe citrus on nose and palate ( Lemon). Oak is nearly invisible. A beautiful Chablis from a great vineyard as in Les Clos. One can see why it is a Grand Cru. On the light to medium weight palate, with air, Lemon and Honey and a touch of Oyster Shell. Intensity without weight. A perfect match with fresh Pacific Oysters.

Ripe but super tasty

Sacrilege to drink Burg in Rome but this was on the magical side. Citrus perfume, stony beauty all along. So young and fresh.

Pretty dead... not entirely but close

Chiseled, lemon curd, iodine and bright citrus aromas. Pure class and long finish.

Les clos loves Les scrapple

This wine runs the jewels again #atg

The most approachable GC Chablis I've tasted from 2013. Big and rich with creeping high acid that comes back to make your mouth water a minute later #atg
