I was planning to cook some Coq au Vin so perfect time to open a bottle of red. Aged Beaujolais Cru, bad vintage but Magnum bottle.
Red currant, dark crusted bread, cooked tomatoes, violets, fresh autumnal leaves. Very light colour. Surprising med body, silky tannins, balanced acidity. Acidity comes through in the shortish finish.

A good value Fleurie with plenty of warm red fruit with a velvety grip.
