All of the rotie things we love (violets, white pepper, bacon, dried herbs), plush dark fruit with a bit of green/stemmy finish

Warming and rich with its smokey ripe fruit. There’s a sun-kissed element there. The tannins are marked by this solar vintage too, with a lower acidity accompanying that. Wholesome, full, with some burliness in its oak and tannin but nothing that isn’t absolutely delightful. It’s built around the iron and smoke content now, with warm black cherry compote, leather, ash, violet/lavender, truffle, and pepper adding support. The allure of spices and whole cluster layers are in sync with the rest of the wine. Despite the impacts from heat/drought, I still find that “Burgundian” sensibility that makes the brothers Jamet wines so delicious and intricate. With aeration its structural balance and powdery tannic length began to take on a more noble form.

Stunning bottle of Syrah that has elegance and complexity in this richer vintage needs some time but shows great promise .

Taken back by the red fruit and finesse given the 2018 vintage, not bombastic at all. Tightly knit, lengthy, elegantly textured and silky, just needs some time for the midpalate to fatten up a touch.

Nice nose and fruit. Though not absolute top shelf Syrah , should represent good value and long life. Worth taking a flyer to hold

Rich dark fruits, still youthful with perfumed aromatics of graphite, savory spice, menthol & violet
