Love🍷🍷🍷❤️. Seamless, Balanced, Earthy, Savory, Black Fruit & Smoke... Touch of Gameyness. Super elegant for a Northern Rhone.... Highly recommend👏👏👏 #JeanLucColombo #LaDivine #CoteRotie #2010 #DoIt 💃

A velvety Syrah from Cote Rotie. Darknin color with a purplish hue. Pronounced nose with notes of leather and some vanilla.
The palate is a little on the acidity side.

Tasted blind...initially very tannic but settled down after a few minutes (or my palate was subdued into compliance). Elegant notes of dark, tart red fruit and earthy spices. Black pepper and smoke complimented the finish, which was tart but appropriate and enjoyable. I was surprised on the age but in hindsight this was a good thing, as the tannin has mellowed enough to allow for the fruit to really come through. Overall a very well done wine. Nice job Jean-Luc!

Who doesn’t love Côte Rôtie? Always one of the best expressions of Syrah but this one is fun. A mild garnet with little hints of brownish tinges. The nose on this is truly magnificent with black olives, beautiful spice, and dark fruit. Despite the name, this is wonderfully rustic instead of being delicate. Dry and dusty, there’s enough fruit here but it doesn’t abound. Smooth tannins and medium plus acidity. Leather and green pepper on the palate with smoke and blackberries complimenting. Less refined than I was expecting but a lot more fun too.

This was amazing. Straightforward, dry, delightful. Good with a big steak and ratatouille, which is what we had with it. Good wine for a winter day.
