Pale lemon color with appropriate frothiness and perlage. Medium sized bubbles that give out after some time. The nose is subtle and somewhat reticent but still quite pleasant. Pears and honey along with limes. Green apples with just a touch of mint. White peaches and fresh herbs top it off.

A blend of 80/20 Chenin Blanc/Chardonnay from Touraine in the Loire Valley. The party starts off with a little vim and vigor but quickly fades. Limp and flaccid as time progresses, there’s an attempt to live up to the promise of vitality that the early attack gave but it’s futile. The acidity is mild and so is the palate. Overall, it’s all very mild indeed. An all time great label but don’t judge a book by its cover.
