St Joseph syrah. We are getting mostly cherry and funk, with a dash of black pepper. As a review below notes, the funk borders on cork taint. It begins to burn off after around 1.5 hours, revealing not much else.

Blackberries, blueberries, violets, green olives, bell pepper. Soft acid/smooth tannin balance, light bodied yet concentrated, juicy slightly peppery finish.
