Les Faïsses, Chardonnay réserve 2022, Limoux, Jean Claude Mas
The nose is unmistakably chardonnay, with lemon, some hay, some oak too. It's much more powerful than burgundian examples of the same varietal. The palate is very well made with a good acid drive, some width, some texture, almost a tannic touch, and a tiny touch of oak during the finish with these lemony notes. It's a good example of the varietal yet with its southern characterics. Good stuff. Oh and it costs 8 eur from retail and it's widely available. Go for it
