Tasted it too soon. Very closed bouquet. Even though Bourgogne had changed, don’t think this is a good sample of this modern approach of the region

Generic Burgundy, entry-level vintage. On the fruits (tangy red). An early wine to drink when it is young, the attack is fresh, the body of the wine stands well, with a clean finish. Serve at around 13-15 degrees as an aperitif, at the start of a meal, or with fish.

My first 2015 burg. Light lively pink rim. Strawberry jam , raspberry , red fruit. Simple but then it is Bourgogne Rouge . Simple palate, raspberry , strawberry . Acidity is quite high though, tart almost, but no great length, finishes quite abruptly. It’s fine as a quaffing wine, with or without food. There is a bit of fruit, it doesn’t come across as hollow which is what I remember from really basic Bourgogne rouge, so that is a plus. Only problem is that this is $30 at the local supermarket here in Brazil ... not what you call value for money , but then very little is to be fair!

Really interesting flavor! Fruity and vibrant with a strong earthy finish. Great for standing up to robust meals, or for a full flavor sip. Would definitely get again, and serve to company that I know would like it.
