Very dark in colour - opaque. Black plum and earthy “Heathcote “ aromas - some spice and liquorice. The same notes carry through to the full bodied palate with dark cherry and mocha. Chalky dry tannins. From magnum.

Loved this wine. Its profile wasn't really what I was after but the quality of the wine won me over. Would drink over the next few years

The 09' was supposed to be real gem but I think I just had an off bottle? Dunno. There were no obvious huge faults. Fruit was somewhat muted. Alcohol high. Nice dark plum showed through and the tannins were fine. But it was a point wine, not 100. I'm looking at your Mr. James Suckling!!
