Red currant, shale, red plum, flowers. Elegant slightly sweet tannins, integrated acid. Harmonious with light floral character. Medium body, long finish. Drink now over next 7 years

2008 Jaqk Cellar Black Cover Merlot. Plum notes with subtle earthy tones and a spicy peppery finish. Pairs excellently with lamb (our dinner tonight), beef, or venison. This wine was the "plus" wine in this month's Gold Medal shipment. Pretty nice way to enjoy some great wines.
