Decant for sediment and pour(fine/cloudy sediment). A prodigious ruby red color with some bricking. On the nose: raspberry, metallic, anise, black olives, earth. Taste: smooth, creamy, silky wine with some black plum/berry, cedar, spice, orange peel, touch of bitter chocolate, and a vanilla currant finish. Nice price for a Beckstoffer To Kalon and a nice start to the weekend!

Mar 19th, 2022My favorite BtK for the money. It's aged and integrated well. Multi faceted nose of vanilla, spice, oak, and menthol. Very smooth. Awesome wine but I do miss the kick in the teeth that comes from more recent vintages.
