Jan 24th, 2024Wow. Ripe nose. Sweet wood. Gingerbread. Melon. Green apple. Almost also peach as well as this has terrific ripeness. Elegant, juicy and full of acid and a very glossy texture. Sweet wood that is so well integrated and full of finesse. Long, evocative finish. Sappy, dense, saline and mineral. Round and high mineral. Huge structure. Can age much longer. Just starting to be in a great spot. Wow.

Jul 30th, 2022Insane nose. Just absurd. The most complex expression ever. Wet earth, lime zest, lime rock candy, pulverized rock dust. Smokey minerals abound. Wood shavings. Not from oak. Like woodshop wood shavings. Impossible mineral complexity on the nose. Wow. Power, depth. So deep. I mean deep ocean where all the strangest sea creatures live. Amazing. So balanced. So elegant. So clean. Huge core of mineral, lime rock candy, sick dry extract. Dazzlingly pure. So focused. So Iong and a mineral rock candy lime zest sweetness and also liquid pulverized rock dust. This is something else. Stunning inner mouth aromas. Huge, crushing acids, like waves on jagged rocks. The jagged rocks in this case being my teeth. This is an incredible wine. Might be a 9.7.

Lemon drop, lime pith, light oak, palate is laserlike, super dry, phenolically bitter, gorgeous apple skin, savory, saline, seawater, mineral, super rocky minerals, deep, gets too and every nook and cranny. Little more fat on the nose, long. Excellent lacks a little finesse because of youth. Needs 3 years.

Really great seawater and acid mineral nose, like oyster. Spice on the nose, grape skin spice, not oak spice. So lean that it requires non-fruit descriptors. There is a good citrus component, tangerine zest and royales of lemon (no pith whatsoever), and some fresh orchard fruit, lean like Asian pear. The oak and grape skin finish integrates really well, slightest vanilla and aniseed sweetness and ginger spice. Really excellent.

Nose: candied lemon peel. Richness. Lemon flower.
Palate: almost sweet fruit. So delicious. Balancing minerals. Elegantly rich.
Long sweet finish. So good.
