Maybe the last bottle of Puff Daddy trousseau I'll ever drink?!? Stellar with a jurasienne-ish baked veal cutlets with ham, comte, and chanterelles. Lots to discover; light, but with depth. Not too austere. Slightly rustic, but with gorgeous sweet red and orange fruit accented by mountain herbs and conifers. I've never met Mr Puffeney, but it seems to me that he has accomplished something worth doing in his career.

Jan 7th, 2017Familiar, like a Pinot, but different enough. Funk and moss on the nose, but smooth on the taste. Not fruity in any way; instead is organic and reminiscent of a rainy day with a ruby rich color. Light on tongue; whimsical.

I've had it straight out of the btl and it was quite heavy and boring. This time it was decanted all day and it really transformed the wine

Simply gorgeous. Confident red and black berries. Intensely mineral and earthy. Simultaneously structured and wild. What a treat.
