This is a wonderful summer red; it is medium bodied and rich but not too big for warm weather. It does not attempt to imitate Bordeaux style but instead plays to the strengths of the Lodi appellation. The resulting wine is creamy in mouthfeel, with nice red currant and blueberry flavors, and a lingering dusty tannic finish.
