Features a combination of violet and rose petal aromas. This beefy wine possesses little of the classic forest floor nose, but is chock full of cherry, licorice and plum fruit. It is great paired with broiled stuffed mushrooms, loaded with red peppers and crab meat, or braised lamb shanks that have been basted, preferably in this wine.
