This is a nice red wine from Colorado. Showing red fruits with light wood, Mediterranean spices, peppercorn, cumin, herbs and earth.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.

Needs an hour to open up properly, so be patient. Showing a great nose, once it opens up.

Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years.

Tangy and spicy. A good quality wine and very interesting.

A good food wine that I paired with Brie cheese.

15% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

$38.

Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.

Strong nose of cherries, raspberries, fresh strawberries, spices, light wood, tobacco, herbs, light vegetables, pencil lead, black pepper and earth.

Medium plus in body and elegant, with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with strawberries, raspberries, citrus, pomegranates, tobacco, light wood, earth, herbs, spices, dark coffee and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and pomegranates.

Here is another interesting wine from Colorado. Showing a great nose, although still young. Tangy and elegant with a nice mouthfeel, and nice complexity. Alcohol is already nicely integrated.

I let it open up for an hour in a decanter. Has potential to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.

A very nice food wine that needs a few years to mature and come to its own. I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

Grapes actually come from Amador County in California, and are hand-picked and fermented on their own yeast. Aged in American Oak barrels. Unfiltered and unfined.

Med- ruby red, light raspberry and sage notes, as always with #balistreri and #carignan high acidity and here nicely balanced with a little residual sugar or sweetness. Smooth and nice finish. Thanks @Mason Balistreri for the last bottles of this interesting wine.

Like drinking heaven. Carmel like fruit on the nose. Soft texture with jammy cherries and light body for 15% ABV. Finished mildly dry with creamy oaky flavors. YUMMY!!

This carignan is a great summer red. Nice ripe strawberry aroma with a kiss of caramel. Soft fruit and clean texture. Mild tannic finish. Strawberry lingered awhile. Don't miss out on this one. Great balance
