A blend of 30% Mourvedre, 30% Consult and 40% Syrah. Batroun District.
Pale, rosey pink. This offers a deep nose of crushed wet granite and a suggestion of red fruits. On the palate this offers an energetic, mineral tinged, savory character that echos a few Catalan reds with extended skin/lees contact I've tasted. It seems more about place and soil than fruit and is quite interesting.
My wife described it as 'spicy.' Probably not the best bottle to have been pulled for girl's night!
With more air on day three this shows a dried/crushed rose petal and cardamom note.

Heavier than your typical Provence rose, but still crisp and good. Would probably choose another next time, Alexa rates this over the rock angel.
