Dark transparent ruby. Abundant nose of rubbery new leather. Backgrounded on the medium palate by juicy black cherry and ripe cranberry. Medium plus acidity. Faint, "just enough" tannins. Classic NZ Pinot Noir with a good balance of fruit and earthy characteristics, though missing the slight salinity I normally find. Made for seafood, particularly salmon or firm crustaceans. This is perhaps one of the juiciest, lightest, yet sits nicely as fresh and delicate Pinot Noir recently taste out of from the Omaka Valley, Marlborough, New Zealand. A charming approach of red fruits, and spices aromas, incredibly young and balanced acidity. Loved the fact that is produced in a single vineyard called Raupo and it is an Estate Bottled as well. Those who always look for vegan friendly wines, well this is one of them too. Cheers!
