Label could use some work. Pretty basic as the kids might say. Nice rusty maroon in the glass. Aroma has a bit of rust on it too. It’s also showing a bit of mineral oil. Strange old world nose to this. Flavors are very dry and woodsy. Tastes of ‘old book’, both the pages and the leather bindings. This might be a bit cooked. Little linger of that oxidized flavor. But also holds a bit of roasted red pepper and plenty of black currant jam too. It’s lacking in depth, but it has some lovely Merlot character. Aged pretty well too.
