This is a well made dessert wine from the tiny island of Pantelleria off the Sicilian coast. Muscat grapes dried in the sun produce an unctuous wine with orange and apricot honey flavors. It could have used a bit more acidity and length to really show is best

2010 vintage. Dark amber. Stone fruit jam nose. Candied apricot, orange marmalade, blonde raisin. Smooth with a hint of tartness, but fundamentally a sweet dessert sipper. 15% ABV.

Syrupy, with notes of apricot, candied peach rings, and an earthy nuttiness. Beautiful acidity rounds out the palate and finishes my evening.

This is delicious. It doesn't specify that it's oaked, but I think it must be. Oaky aroma, subtle bourbon oak flavor with notes of honey and raisin. Sweet finish. Medium-minus acidity. I really like this wine.
