Hot on the nose, hot on the taste, hot on the finish. Needs time and decanting which sounds crazy. Once given some O2, dark fruits accompanied by heavy baking spices come out. Absolutely delicious the second day open.

Had with Sunday pot roast with Jared. Tasted like our church wine growing up, but not in a bad way. Would drink again, but probably wouldn’t go out of my way to repurchase

Very fragrant - the oak is evident, hints of honey and red fruit. On the palate it is powerful and rich, bigger than a typical central otago pinot but with plenty to commend it. More red fruit and youthful tannins. Comes up a bit short but that's more refreshment than anything missing. Not that intellectually stimulating but a lot of fun.
