Hittin' its prime. A bit tight and herbaceous. Very smooth with supple black fruits. Lingering warm finish.

Powerful, broad shouldered. Bordeaux style on steroids. Blackcurrant juice. Tannins are sandy and finely grained and felt at the front. Very long finish.
Famous winery owned by Francis Ford Coppola.
Organic vineyard management.
22 months in 80% new oak. 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Frank.
Last year we opened blind Angelus 2006 with Rubicon 2006. They were very very close in power.

Pretty cool follow-up to the ā13. Certainly more tame but still possesses a great deal of power. Iām thinking this has plenty of years left before the downward trend.

A 2006 and still big, bold and beautifully expressive. Don't let its small size fool you I would still hang onto this for a little time.

2006 Rubicon Estate from 375ml...very refined with big cassis, herbs and hint of wood. Fruit forward but very nicely balanced.
