Clean, cherry red color. Liquorice, aged fruit, raspberry, strawberry, hints of pepper on a very interesting nose. Long persistence, not an average zinfandel, probably not ready since it is not rounded on mouth.

Another Scott McLeod masterpiece. Tasted blind, could have fooled me for a merlot. Jammy and plummy with pepper and spice and everything nice after some decanting. Smooth tannins and a hint of vanilla and cocoa. This has years to go.

This is the 2003. Holding up very nicely. Mellowing tannins but lots of structure. Some spice and vanilla.

Menthol, licorice, vanilla, cloves, hoisin sauce, herbs, spices, and packed with jammy cherries. A bit over oaked - I’m not normally a Zin fan, but this retains an Italian like freshness to it despite the aggressive oak. There’s a lot of complexity here as well.

Love this Zinfandel. Can't beat it. Opens, drinks, and finishes perfectly. Don't dare open anything after this wine. You're ruined.

Can't recall the specifics but this might have had too much spice to the finish for my taste
