Capital Z Lodi Zinfandel

I didn’t have high expectations for this value #lodi #zinfandel. Blackberry jam aromas dominate. In the mouth there’s the expected rich briar fruit flood but it’s quickly followed by nice acid structure, dark chocolate and coffee notes mid-palate, faint warming spices and tongue-coating tannins on the long finish. It is unexpectedly quaffable and a dandy value at $11 from #wsjwineclub

Wine with a punch! Yum! Deep rich berry aromas and flavors with a touch of pepper! Blackberries and raspberries.

Lots of flavor.

Sweet and thick Zinfandel with a clean finish. Didn’t really get the mocha and spice flavors on the label; seemed a bit more mild.

Had at Johann and Amy’s and Debbie brought - nice and rich without being fruity

Excellent value. Delicious on its own. Rich and fruity. Unsure about pairing
