Terrific nose. Berries and leather and smoke. Brilliant. So juicy and pure. Low in alcohol.

Aug 11th, 2013Right after opening I wasn't sure if the bottle wasn't flawed. A little stinky. 2 hours later, without decanting, it turned beautiful. Mute, dark nose. 12% abv, sour cherries, but not a lot of fruit. The words earnest and stern come to mind. On the palate, very mild wood tannins, firm acidity, some sweetness. Medium finish. More elegant than supple. Very good, but not sure it's worth the €30. Maybe after another couple years of bottle aging? Anyone? Oh, and don't pair with Camembert.
