Interesting wine from Montalcino. Picked this up at the winery. This guy plays classical music to his vines. He spoke no English but I loved his energy. I had to buy this. That was back on 2002. Wow, great fruit and that classic Montalcino earthiness.

Awesome big and juicy. At first dark plums and then after a while turns into deep over ripe plums. Baking spices. Lovely. 12 grapes!

Smooth, smooth, smooth like the leather in my Lamborghini (don’t I wish!!). Dry and well balanced. Nice by itself and great with wood-fire pizza!

October 8, 2021. LB purchase 2020. Super Tuscan from Maremma. Literally 12 grapes. 40% Sangiovese, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Syrah, 6% Cesanese, 6% Ancellotto, + 5% or less of 7 more grape varieties. Full bodied, dark fruit, leather, and a bit of spice. Great QpR. Really nice.

Much better wine than the tragic branding would suggest. Get your shit together.

Super Tuscan. Purchased on a lark for the novelty blend. Big wine but not napa/plush big. On the drier side. Very sturdy and balanced. Smoky leather and dark fruit. Slammin with charcoal grilled beef short ribs.

Good. Doesn't feel worth the price point.
