Out of this world. Extremely smooth and balanced with a short finish, full bodied, beautiful garnet with shades of orange like a heritage wine. Maraschino cherry, dark chocolate, sweet tobacco, definite hints of oak. This makes me cry inside and wish I lived in Italy. It's not a drink, it's an experience. Wow. Wow... Wow.

Very typical Brunello. Elegance in fruit and balance. The bottle age has given this much softer tannins. Beautifully structured.

Ruffino is known for its Chanti, so I decided to try their Brunello. I'm really glad I did. 2008 was not a stellar vintage for Montalcino. This is currently the best 2008 Brunello I've had. The juice looks light, but the palate is full bodied with wonderful fruit. A joy to experience. It takes a while to open, so give it time. Definitely worth trying again. Cheers!!

Tão bom quanto um Brunello pode ser. Ótimo acompanhamento para um coq au vin, mesmo não sendo um francês.

Wonderful. Good time to open this 2008 wine. Opened with a light garnet color. Scents of cherry, sweet raspberry, spice, ginger, cola & Rosemary. Very silky and smooth with lovely aromas. Closed with full bodied fruity softness.
