Pian Scorrone Barbera d'Asti

Enjoyed this one from @dobianchi. While 15% doesn't show it. Hard to pull off...

Light and a little sweet. Perfect anniversary wine!

Clear and bright. Medium color intensity. Garnet with purple tints. On the nose, clean, medium intensity. Red fruits, black cherry, raspberry, and crushed myrtilles, touch of orange peel and light floral note. On the palate, medium body. Medium plus acidity. Fine but grippy tannins, warming alcohol at 14%. Short finish. Balanced wine. Simple but nice drinking

Awesome Barbera D'Asti. Super drinkable, light and juicy, not terribly complex, but hard to set down the glass. Going for $38 at Pizzeria Delfina.

Asti styles barberas are usually lighter and brighter expression of your grape compared to the Alba style. Got some raisins, orange zest, and soft spices. Light, tart, tangy and fun.

Perfect for cutting thru with some heavy pizza, pasta.... Balsamic. Tangy fruit. High acid. A little bit of earth. Light and tart.
