Medium deep ruby , wide garnet/pink rim . Spiced dark cherries , red plum , dried strawberry , liquorice notes , touch of black tea , orange rind and a slight balsamic hint. On the palate quite ripe sweet darker fruits , plum and dark cherry. Spiced cherry and liquorice finish but of only ok length . Ripe but slightly gritty tannins . A bit hot on the finish , lacks a little freshness . After a while this shows a little more precision and balance , though it is certainly in a larger and richer style than I would prefer. Drink now and over the next 5 -7 years

This shows more minty quality than the San Polino 2019, with slightly more rugged tannins. Feels more energetic because of less polish.
