Is this the best Cortese in the world? Who knows, but it certainly speaks with its own idiosyncratic voice. Rich, honeyed, pear - broad on the palate but with acidity to spare. And somehow, this isn't Chenin. But it is from Mendocino. And it is deeeeeeeee-licious.

Golden and richer than expected. More brightness would be appreciated. Nice juicy mid with some nice nutty character. Worked well on its own, but not that well with the live uni. Don't have very much experience with the variety.

Golden in color. Fennel, oak, caramelized honey, white flowers, golden apples, healthy acid. Very, very enjoyable and paired well with Ras al Hanout and yogurt grilled chicken.

Hay and a little salinity, finish of fino and yellow apple. Starts off fuller bodied with a bit of viscosity, finishes more crisply.

Nice reduced concentration. Residual sugar with melon, apricot, and other stone fruit. Very full and enjoyable. 2013 not 2014 vintage.

Really cool and unusual wine. Broad and mouth filling, grippy and slightly tannic, high acid and great fruit. Nice.

Spicy pear, ripe lemon zest, hint of marmalade, soft honey and delicious acidity. Also a nutty slightly oxidative character adds complexity, fun wine.
