Nice golden color. Firm acidity. Lively citrus, subtle toasted oak, butterscotch, yellow apple.

2013. Fresh fruit, good weight and acid, no perceived oak, mineral finish. A solid wine behind a fun label.

With a flavor and complexity equivalent to any French grand cru, this is a fantastic Chardonnay. The nose is slightly funky with a mineral driven undercurrent and notes of star fruit, asian pear, apricot and wet rocks, but the flavor is BOLD, with a front of fruit forward acidity, with a creamy mid-palate and a lingering, slightly mineral finish. Everything that comes out of the Michael Mara Vineyard is spectacular, and this is not exception. Like liquid gold!
