Clearly Marquette has a future in the north east and New England.

A night of firsts for me: first Marquette and first Vermont wine!
Love the vibrant acidity. Nose leads me down the lovechild path of Beaujolais romancing Bonarda. Heavily cranberried sauciness with herbal influences. I would like to chill this few degrees and revisit with a thanksgiving menu in the fall. Likey!

i keep coming back to this 100% marquette (top hybrid to watch) from my favorite vermont producer. sometimes it shows like cru beauj, sometimes like rhône, and sometimes like PNW pinot—but it's always itself. wild fermented, unfiltered, herbal. $27.

Sour dark fruit, some spiciness. Chilling a bit dulled some of the sharpness.

Muddled cranberry sauce with spice and vanilla, leather; you can definitely feel the alcohol content on this one. A bit unbalanced.

Remarkably dry Marquette, with some evocation of Burgundian memories. Ginger bread under cranberry sauce.
