One of my favorite southern Italian whites, and one I always prefer with a few years of age. Paired with spaghetti and fried zucchini discs cooked into a cream sauce with basil and grated pecorino. Did not get to try the dish but diners seemed pleased. Biodynamic.

So consistently good. Pineapple, baked apricot and golden raisin. Medium to full with stern acidity. I’ve found this wine is best at 3-5 years with a decant. So unique and original. Love the packaging.

With each tilt of the 2021 Flora Falanghina, the senses light up. A seductive blend of fresh mint, peach preserves, sweet smoke and vanilla custard wafts up from the glass. It’s elegant yet potent, washing across the palate with textures like weighted silk guided by vibrant acidity as a contrasting core of crisp tart apple emerges. Its minerality comes through the finish, tapering off salty and mouthwatering, as a bitter twang of savory spice punctuates the experience. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2023)

Was pretty skeptical when I saw this was 14.5% - but really quite good. Lots of white fruit / sweet nuts / white grapefruit. Pretty savory and great acid on the finish. Full bodied. Nice value. Still would prefer it to be 12.5% but can’t argue overall.
