Nov 28th, 2024Love these wines! Always so incredible to have such a balance of racy energy with a simultaneous oxidative complexity.

Jan 14th, 2024Love these wines. There can definitely be some bottle variation but this one was one of the best I’ve had. It’s simply electric with such incredible energy and precision. Layers of rich orchard fruit and baking spice are seamlessly balanced by its killer minerality and racy citrusy acids. To have a wine with an oxidative complexity while also so vibrant and energetic is no easy feat. Fantastic.

Oct 28th, 2020Considered to be a Burgundian expression of Chenin Blanc, perhaps why I love his wines. Vivid energy and precision showing intense minerals, stone fruits, baking spices and racy balanced acidity. Finishes with good length, lift and focus. Delicious Chenin.

Aug 22nd, 2020The Bernadeau was engaging, juicy and on the clearer and brighter side, though still a bit of volatility peaking through. That 2013 Roises is easily the best disgorgement I’ve had from Collin.

Wrapping my head around this wine, it seemed like allowing it to breathe in a decanter for hours would be smart. Bristling acidity, reduction at first. Mercaptans and oxidation inflect the aromatics as well as on the palate. Moldy lemon. Perhaps wet rocks. Bitter, fuzzy mousiness on the finish. A touch sweet? I don’t get it. It devolved into green garlic volatility and cheese.
