Citrus and apricots on the nose. A little bit of minerality on the front of the palate along with a hint of red raspberry fruit. A light tannic structure carries it all the way to the end, with some chalky high notes on the finish. In my experience, NorCal Pinots that have light tannic structures tend to display a lot of astringency mid-palate—I.e. the tannins express themselves as puckery high notes—but this wine has a surprisingly low-key texture all the way through. This wine’s delicate profile makes this vintage delightfully slurpable!
