It's outstanding, a real wow wine. Black fruit, charcoal, earth, floral, bramble fruit, and something funky on the nose (truffle?). It has huge elements on their own; the fruit, charred oak tannins, are all big but come together so well... even pretty. I just love 2013s.

Nice acidity, minerality, just the right amount of oak. The black cherry fruit doesn’t overpower everything else. Framed by just a touch of earth or green. For a higher alcohol wine, it’s more balanced, elegant than in your face opulent. 94-95

Oct 28th, 2017Kenefick ranch. Very dry. This was placed behind the 2013 hunnicutt napa and 2011 hunnicutt George iii tonight. Still a nice structured cab.
