It's outstanding, a real wow wine. Black fruit, charcoal, earth, floral, bramble fruit, and something funky on the nose (truffle?). It has huge elements on their own; the fruit, charred oak tannins, are all big but come together so well... even pretty. I just love 2013s.

Last bottle! 😢 Wanted to break out an epic bottle for steaks with the family tonight. This lived up to the task! 🥩 turned out amazing. First time cooking them sous vide. So good!

Nice acidity, minerality, just the right amount of oak. The black cherry fruit doesn’t overpower everything else. Framed by just a touch of earth or green. For a higher alcohol wine, it’s more balanced, elegant than in your face opulent. 94-95

The '12 was good but this is great. More fruit than the '12 but not the low acid fruitiness that the bard was last night.
