Decant for sediment and pour(some fine/cloudy sediment). A still dark murky garnet with bricking. On the nose: dark currants, stewed plums, boiled meat, herbaceous, pencil lead, eucalyptus, and mocha. Taste: velvety, smooth wine with some dried cherry, earth, graphite, smoked meat, and a dry mocha/cedar/dried herb medium finish. On the downside, but still drinkable at 20 years.

Celebrate Labor Day with In-N-Out Double Doubles & protein style burgers....it required a decently aged wine!!

1 hour decant (a little cloudy sediment). A phenomenal inky dark garnet color with little signs of aging. On the nose: dark cherries, mocha, spearment, smoke, planting soil, creme brulee. Taste: Nice!...A rich, elegant and soft wine with blackberry, chocolate, currants, spice, and a blueberry caramel sweet tannin long finish with a slight hint of alcohol burn at the end.....must have been a beast when young..tamed and drinking great now and more years to go.

Side by side w 2004 Abreu. Contrast in styles but both still drinking incredibly well. Nod to HA in my opinion

Great wine tonight! Trying out all the different wines from Hundred acre, but I think this one is the best.

2004 vintage - one of the best bottles I've had to date. Chocolate undertones mixed perfectly with blackberries and cassis. Multi-layers of mouthfeel. Smooth and long finish. Very refined wine.
