This is a very special wine for me. Chose the barrels at the Hospice in 2000 and won the lot in the auction with an old, dear friend William Brown. We swapped bottles as half were bottled with his name and half for Les Zygomates Paris/Boston for a restaurant I got to build with chef Ian Just. Bill (William) was instrumental in helping us open the Boston les Zygomates. It is also from my son Isaac's birth year. And it is drinking amazingly well, a little funk, soft red fruit, ripe plum and silky tannins. Thanks to my old ffriend and negociant Alex Gambal for "raising" the wine with such skill!
