I've had their Stag's Leap & St. Helena, but, I haven't had their Napa Cabernet. Small production and right in line with what I've come to expect from Charles's Cabernets. Soft and elegant.

I hoped this would be better than the Liparita and it delivered, with grace. Generous, but well-integrated, use of oak that imparts some tasty caramel. The fruit is dark and rich, but savory. Some secondary cacao and meat offer complexity alongside a finish with moderate length. A decent ~$50 Napa Cab.

The 12 Hope & Grace Cabernet shows soft tannins and ripe fruits. Very easy to drink. The body is lean for a young Cabernet. Juicy blackberries, blueberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, raspberries, cooked strawberries, black tea, fresh red & pink roses, cinnamon, vanilla, dark dry earth, dry stones, underbrush, very soft and light Provence herbs, black olive juice, beautiful acidity, round and juicy finish. So easy to drink the 12 vintage young.
